How every SodaSlim batch is tested
The short version
SodaSlim is produced in an FDA registered, cGMP certified facility in the United States, and each production run is sampled and sent to Trellis Analytical Sciences, an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited independent laboratory. Six panels are run on every batch. The results become the certificate of analysis published on the verification page, and no run leaves the floor without one.
What is run on every batch
| Panel | Method | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | HPLC-UV | Confirms each named active is the material it is supposed to be, not a cheaper look alike. |
| Potency and purity | HPLC-UV | Establishes the purity figure published on the batch record, 98.9% for the current run. |
| Heavy metals | ICP-MS | Lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury, screened below 0.4 ppm. |
| Microbiology | Plate count and pathogen screen | Total counts and pathogen absence, held within USP limits. |
| Pesticide residue | GC-MS | Screened on the botanical inputs, green tea and green coffee in particular. |
| Moisture and disintegration | In process | Confirms the capsule breaks down as intended and the powder has not taken on water. |
Where it is made
Manufacturing takes place in a United States facility that is registered with the FDA and operates to current Good Manufacturing Practice. Registration is not approval, and it would be dishonest to present it as such: it means the facility is known to the regulator and subject to inspection, and that its documentation, cleaning, sourcing and batch records are held to a published standard.
Why the laboratory is independent
Testing a batch in the same building that made it creates an obvious problem. Trellis Analytical Sciences is a separate accredited laboratory, and accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 is about competence and impartiality in testing rather than about the product itself. The samples they receive are drawn from finished, sealed stock, not from an ideal preparation made for the purpose.
Sourcing
Botanical inputs, green tea and green coffee especially, vary by harvest and origin. Each incoming lot is identity tested before it is accepted, which is the least interesting and most important step in the whole process. An ingredient that is not what the paperwork says it is cannot be fixed later in the run.
What we do not claim
We do not claim that testing makes the product effective for you. Testing establishes what is in the bottle and what is not: the right materials at the stated purity, no heavy metal load, no microbial problem. Efficacy is a different question, and the science desk is where we deal with it honestly.
